Improved Security for South Park and LA Live Area

A new South Park Business and Community Benefit District (BID) was passed and starting Jan. 1, 2008, it replaces the "South Park BID" after a three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2007. The biggest difference is the improved security effort by developer AEG. The new BID is expected to deploy security officers and cleaning crews over a 22 block area. The beefed up safety came about thanks to a partnership with the developer of LA Live, AEG.

Already among the safest metro cities in the nation, it appears this most recent move is another positive step towards bringing family back to "the City of Angels".
